Quiltin' Away at a Quilt Retreat!

It has been a great weekend, quilting in Danville, IL.  These are my friends from quilt club--me, Betty Sue, Rosie, Carol, and Denise.   We are spending the weekend working on UFO's or other new projects.  I have made another whale wall hanging, worked on mugrugs for my sister's Christian Women's Retreat, worked on a wall hanging, and made a rag quilt for my husband.  Sew much fun!  It is great to sew all day, all evening, and into the night on what ever we wanted--sharing ideas and patterns with friends and with others using the retreat facilities.  A store on site is a great plus.

This is a great facility with lots of room to work, kitchens to use with refrigerator room for each group, cutting tables, irons and ironing boards, design walls, and quilts hanging all over!

My friends made snap purses using metal tape measures.  They are lots of fun.  I made some last year, but this year I was busy working on my rag quilt.

Carol and Denise worked on a  spiral table runner.

In the evenings, we relaxed with a bottle of wine.

This is a great yearly event--sew much fun--sew much to sew--such good friends!
