One of my former high school classmates, an fb friend, contacted me that she needed a new home for fabric. Of course, I'm always ready to adopt any new fabric to add to my stash. I met up with her yesterday--she now lives in Texas instead of Illinois, and look what I got--washed and folded!
Now, what do I make? We are making purses at quilt club this month, so I think I should find some appropriate fabric in this new addition to my stash. Thank you, Kathleen, for the beautiful fabric.
I made a table runner in appreciation, but I forgot to take a picture! I'll be making one for me like it soon, so I will post a picture then. In the meantime, baby showers (3) coming up plus a baby gift for a best friend's grandbaby, so I am making rag quilts. They are fast, fun, and flannel has been on sale at a great price.
I need to make a quick trip to JoAnn's to pick up enough flannel for one more!

In the meantime, the spring flowers are beginning to bloom. I need to get these rag quilts done so that I can get outside to work.
Have a great week and Happy Quilting!
Wow look at the flowers, we still have a lot of snow on the ground! Isn't it nice when you just get material like that. Lucky you.
ReplyDeleteLove the spring flowers. We are predicted rain with maybe snow this week (London UK) but I'm hopeful spring is just around the corner. Lucky you being given the fabric. I just love it when that happens.
ReplyDeleteHow lovely to receive all those fabrics! And your flower pictures are lovely :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful spring flowers. Now all that fabric is definitely a big fat Christmas present. I have never beent hat lucky to know nayone to gift fabric...I think I need to advertise a orphanage home for it....lol...
ReplyDeleteSpring flowers are the best, especially when, like this year, winter weather is still with us in the U.K. Your new fabric looks great, why is someone else's fabric more interesting than our own?
